PLEASE NOTE: The NAP5 app is still available for download, but is no longer being updated.

As a follow-up to the NAP5 report on Accidental Awareness during General Anaesthesia, an app (iNAP5) has been developed as a learning tool to promote further dissemination of the results of NAP5 and to enable improved communication with patients.

The project was overseen by Dr Jaideep Pandit, NAP5 Clinical Lead. iNAP5 was written by Dr James Palmer, member of the NAP5 Steering Group, and was developed by Dr JP Lomas, RCoA Council Member, it includes narrative summaries of the findings of the report in an easy to access, intuitive format.

iNAP5's main features

  • Executive summary of the report
  • Explanation of the classifications used within the project
  • Incidence broken down by patient group - all the key stats at your fingertips
  • Summary of recommendations and learning points

iNAP5 is free to download from both Google Play (for Android) and the Apple iOS store:
