Nuffield Department of Clinical Neurosciences, John Radcliffe Hospital, Headington, Oxford

Grade 7: £29,837 - £36,661 p.a.

Full-time, fixed-term post until 30 June 2017

The Nuffield Department of Clinical Neurosciences seeks a Postdoctoral Researcher to work with Dr Kyle Pattinson. The post is funded by the Dunhill Medical Trust to study brain mechanisms of breathlessness in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).

Working as part of a team of research staff and graduate students, the postholder will be responsible for setting up and running FMRI experiments. The role will include recruiting and interacting with participants in scanning experiments, analysing FMRI data and preparing manuscripts for publication. The main location of the work will be in the West Wing of the John Radcliffe Hospital, but will involve close working with the FMRIB Centre that is located nearby. A PhD in a relevant discipline and experience working with human participants is essential. Experience with MRI is highly desirable.
